Working, learning and getting paid at the same time! At Nuon you can put into practice what you learnt at school. For example, you could work as a mechanic in one of our power plants. You would then be partly responsible for supplying energy to millions of households.
Get to work as a breakdown & maintenance mechanic
As a breakdown & maintenance mechanic you are responsible for repairing malfunctions and carrying out maintenance on a district heating installation. This could be at the customer’s location or at the installations in the Nuon district heating network. So your working environment varies from the customer’s own home, where you are the official representative of Nuon Heat, to the more industrial environment of the district heating plants. You work on a mobile basis in your own area and are part of the breakdown & maintenance shift roster.
Safety is extremely important in your work. So you must no your job thoroughly and be stress-resistant. And you have to get on well with people. You learn more about the practical aspects and how to work independently as well as in a team. If you aren’t afraid of getting your hands dirty or of computers this is the job for you!
