Involvement
Our products affect the very heart of society: everybody needs energy. But this doesn't mean that we take our presence for granted; we are committed to community involvement. For instance, in order to avoid the unnecessary disconnection of their gas and power, we help customers with payment arrears to come into contact with public social services.
We also initiate and encourage in-company community activities. An opportunity for all Nuon employees participate in projects to make a contribution to community service.
Serving society
Acknowledging the importance of preserving a healthy and natural environment, we work together with several organisation such as FRES (Foundation Rural Energie Services), Natuurmonumenten and Oxfam Novib.
Step2Work
We are pleased to make our contribution to reducing youth unemployment. Through our learning-and-working project Step2Work, unemployed youngsters get a work experience placement to improve their chances on the labour market. As well as work experience the project provides professional training and mentoring by a Nuon employee.
Nuon Foundation
The object of the Nuon Foundation is to support Nuon staff in their voluntary work for community projects. Nuon's involvement benefits from employees who are themselves involved in the community.
