That's why we provide various facilities and schemes to help you maintain a good work/home balance.
As an employee you get every chance and all the support from management to achieve your targets, so your talents will quickly emerge. Although Human Resource Management creates all the necessary frameworks, you are in charge of your development and potential for advancement. It is up to you to take your own responsibility.
Training programmes
At Nuon there are many different training programmes you can follow, such as technical training courses, management training and personal development programmes. To be attended at our own educational institutions Nuon College and Nuon Techno, for technical tuition.
Working from home and working part-time
If you join Nuon, you can also work from your home, depending on the job and the nature of the work. Working from home can help achieve a better work/home balance and save valuable time as you avoid traffic jams. You can also work part-time; three or four days a week.
Holiday entitlement and sabbatical leave
Full-time employees have a basic annual entitlement to 25 days of holiday plus 13 days that they can take at their discretion because their working hours exceed those in the Collective Labour Agreement. And we encourage employees to join the life-course savings scheme so they can save for a sabbatical of up to six months.
Sports
A healthy mind and a healthy body increase performance. That's why Nuon has its own sports facilities employees can use before, during or after work, under expert advice and guidance. You can take yoga lessons or cycle on a home trainer, for example, or join a jogging session near your office.
