Traineeships

From day one you take part in the dynamic world of Nuon: a future-oriented market that is in constant motion and is becoming increasingly important. A sector with many stakeholders and complex processes. After all, Nuon is not only a producer, trader, distributor and supplier of energy, but also the operator of several gas fields. As a business partner of the management you are the financial conscience of the organisation and you are involved in every impactful change.

The traineeship starts with the Operational Experience, an intensive introduction lasting around two weeks in which you get to know all aspects of Nuon. In the subsequent programme you carry out two assignments in different areas of the financial domain. You are free to choose assignments that you feel are best suited to you or your development. The experience you gain during the assignments and the associated training programme will make you a fully-fledged finance professional, controller, project leader or team leader.

Profile

• You have almost or recently completed a bachelor's or master’s degree programme in a financial or business discipline.
• You have a (well thought-out) view of an broad interest in finance & control.
• You are result-oriented and independent and you are eager to learn.
• You are capable of translated customer demand into financial solutions (listening, interpreting, transforming, actualising).
• You have a basic knowledge of bookkeeping, reporting, controlling and/or register accounting.
• You have an affinity with ERP, consolidation systems and accounting principles.
• You can work in a structured manner and on a project basis.
• You are interested in the energy market.
• You have an excellent knowledge of written and spoken Dutch and English.
• You are no older than 28 and have a maximum of a year's work experience.
