Business principles
Nuon's business principles contain guidelines for the way we aim to do business and deal with our customers, stakeholders and colleagues. These have been laid down in the context of European and Dutch legislation and regulations and rules relating to employment conditions that apply specifically to the energy sector.
The business principles apply to the entire group, including subsidiaries and associate companies in which Nuon has a majority share. Associate companies in which Nuon has no majority share, suppliers, business partners and new business associates are encouraged to abide by these principles as much as possible.
Code of conduct
On the basis of the business principles Nuon has drawn up a code of conduct for a wide range of subjects that are relevant to our company. These vary from practical rules of behaviour for employees with respect to their daily actions and how they deal with business partners and company property, to safety and health instructions.
Whistleblowers regulation
The Whistleblowers Regulation enables all Nuon employees acting in good faith to report alleged cases of abuse within the company without adversely affecting their legal position.
Nuon counsellor in the context of this scheme is Mr. L.J.J. van der Poel, former Head of Legal Affairs. He can be reached, for this purpose only, at +31 (0)6 27 04 81 55 or ljjvanderpoel@quicknet.nl.
The rules within Nuon concerning the matter in which to go about reporting alleged cases of abuse and the way this is subsequently handled are laid down in the Whistleblowers Regulation.
