Business principles

Nuon's business principles contain guidelines for the way we aim to do business and deal with our customers, stakeholders and colleagues. These have been laid down in the context of European and Dutch legislation and regulations and rules relating to employment conditions that apply specifically to the energy sector.

The business principles apply to the entire group, including subsidiaries and associate companies in which Nuon has a majority share. Associate companies in which Nuon has no majority share, suppliers, business partners and new business associates are encouraged to abide by these principles as much as possible.

Code of conduct

On the basis of the business principles Nuon has drawn up a code of conduct for a wide range of subjects that are relevant to our company. These vary from practical rules of behaviour for employees with respect to their daily actions and how they deal with business partners and company property, to safety and health instructions.

Whistleblowers regulation

Whistleblowing is a procedure that allows employees, consultants and suppliers to report serious irregularities conducted by Nuon or one of its employees to an internal contact person or, if preferred, to an external ombudsman.

The name of the external ombudsman and all contact details for internal and external reporting can be found in the Information Brochure Whistleblowing.
