Management Board
The Management Board is in charge of the company’s management. Key responsibilities of the Management Board include achieving Nuon Energy’s objectives, strategy and policy, including the related financial targets.
The Management Board is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, for the management of risks related to Nuon Energy’s business activities and for financing the business. In addition, the Management Board is responsible together with the Supervisory Board, for Nuon Energy’s corporate governance structure and compliance with the Dutch Corporate Governance Code.
Joint responsibility
The Management Board is jointly responsible for the management of Nuon Energy. Within this joint responsibility, every member of the Management Board has their specific tasks and fields of attention based on an internal allocation of duties. In discharging its role, the Management Board is guided by the interests of the company and its subsidiaries, while giving careful consideration to the interests of all stakeholders.
Two roles
Because the management structure isn’t is not fully aligned with the legal structure the Management Board fulfils two roles. Firstly it governs the legal entity N.V. Nuon Energy and secondly it has the managerial responsibility for the Business Group Benelux.
