Remit - Urgent Market Message

Transparency

This webpage provides details on availability of capacities of Vattenfall’s power plants in the Netherlands and the Epe gas storage facility at the Dutch-German border.

The table lists unexpected outages and reduction of output of power production units which equal or exceed an installed capacity of 100 Megawatt (Urgent Market Messages).

For the Epe gas storage, scheduled and unscheduled non-availabilities of gas inflow and outflow capacities until 2014 are listed (Urgent Market Messages and planned maintenances).

By providing this information, Vattenfall is taking a step towards more transparency. Through the REMIT legislation, the EU has obliged power plant and gas storage operators to inform about current availabilities of those facilities. In this way, all market participants receive information that might have a significant effect on the market price as quickly as possible and at the same time.

Additional information about availability of Vattenfall’s power units in the Netherlands is published here: www.productiondata.nl

Vattenfall produces power also in Germany and in the Nordic market. Details about generation data for these regions can be accessed here:

For the Netherlands, a central transparency platform is in preparation. Vattenfall is aiming to provide market data via a joint platform and will cease publication on this temporary webpage as soon as such a market data platform is available.
