Schuldprogramma's
As of July Nuon is part of the Vattenfall Group cash pool handled by Vattenfall Treasury AB. Vattenfall Treasury provides funding in the form of intra group loans to entities within the Vattenfall Group.
Depending on the characteristics, maturity and the purpose Nuon uses various financing instruments. Nuon's main financing sources are:
Green loans
Nuon Energy has contracted green loans for about €212.000.000. With these loans Nuon is able to benefit from the favourable conditions provided by the Dutch government and tax authorities. These conditions only apply to environmentally friendly projects.
Project financing
In the past Nuon entered into asset-based project financing arrangements with (consortia of) leading project finance banks. Most of these projects are windfarm-related.
