CFO Doede Vierstra has decided to stop working for Nuon Energy when his contract ends on 31 May 2010. He will be released from his obligations as from 1 January 2010.
He will use the period between then and June 2010 to hand over his duties. The search for a suitable successor is still under way.
Before joining n.v. Nuon in 2006, Vierstra worked for Koninklijke Wessanen N.V. and for Koninklijke Friesland Foods N.V. as CFO and as a member of the group Board of Directors. From 1985 to 2000 Doede Vierstra held various financial and strategic management posts with Unilever in the Netherlands, Thailand, Denmark and England.
