Dec 10, 2009 | Groningen, Eemshaven 'First' pile Nuon Magnum power plant

Eemshaven

The construction of the Nuon Magnum multi-fuel power plant at Eemshaven in the province of Groningen, which in the future will provide energy for two million households, has been in full swing once again since September. Several fuels can be used in this power plant and thanks to the innovative technology it will be possible to apply pre-combustion CO2 capture. The driving of this 2460th pile symbolises the restart of construction and is being celebrated by Nuon, the province, the municipality, the port and the main contractor.
