Mr Øystein Løseth (1958) was appointed as chairman of the Supervisory Board on 8 April 2010. His current term expires in 2014. As per 12 April 2010 mr Løseth will become the President and CEO of Vattenfall AB. Prior to this, Mr Løseth has been the chairman of the Management Board of Nuon Energy.
In August 2003 Mr Løseth joined n.v. Nuon starting as managing director of Nuon’s sourcing and trading activities (midstream segment). In January 2006 he became a member of the Management Board of n.v. Nuon, responsible for the Production and Trade segment and for the activities in Belgium and Germany. During the shareholders meeting of 23 April 2008 he was appointed as the chairman of the Management Board and CEO.
Prior to joining Nuon, Mr. Løseth worked for Statkraft in Norway. First as Managing Director responsible for setting up Statkraft Energy Europe in the Netherlands and Germany; subsequently as Director of the Strategy Division of Statkraft. In 2002 he was appointed to the Management Board of Statkraft as the member responsible for production and project development. Before his career at Statkraft, Mr. Løseth worked at Naturkraft, Alliance Gas and Statoil.
Mr Løseth has the Norwegian nationality. He succeeds mr Lars G. Josefsson in the Supervisory Board.
