Aug 30, 2010 | Amsterdam Nuon supports TV fundraiser for Pakistan
Over 200 Nuon volunteers did their bit for the National Fundraiser for Pakistan on Thursday 26 August. A large number of the donor calls were answered and handled at the Nuon call centers in Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Arnhem and Leeuwarden. The Nuon employees had volunteered their services in response to an internal appeal and came from all parts of the company.
Nuon CEO Huib Morelisse, himself one of the volunteers of the Nuon donor call team in Amsterdam: “It is great to see how involved our employees are. We all worked really hard together to make this initiative a success. My compliments for the fast and professional way in which this was given shape. I thank all Nuon employees who took part for their efforts.”
Guy de la Haye, Project Manager at Nuon, coordinated the volunteers: “Nuon has the resources and knowledge to support such TV fundraisers. Besides our call center staff, there were also lots of office staff who came forward to man the phones. Together with our supplier SNT who also organised the telephone support for this campaign, everything was set up at really short notice. After the Haiti relief effort, our colleagues were once again delighted to help out!”
