Jun 17, 2008 | Amsterdam Free energy saving workshops in Nuon’s Energy Shops

The Nuon Energy Shops are organising free workshops for anyone interested in energy saving on 25, 26 and 27 June. Energy consultants show people how they can immediately start saving energy and money at home – because wasting less energy can save family households hundreds of euros a year on their energy bill.
During the energy saving workshops, demonstrations are given on how to keep draughts outside, thus saving an average of 54 euros a year. The energy consultants also explain what energy leakage is and how you can save an average of 44 euros a year by avoiding this. Other highlighted topics are water saving measures and choosing the most appropriate lamps for each situation. The participants can also practice placing radiator foil and draught excluders, which makes it easier to install these at home.

Besides receiving tips for simple modifications at home, people attending the workshops can also get advice on energy saving measures such as applying insulation and installing an energy-efficient high-performance boiler. These measures will allow family households to save hundreds of euros a year on their energy bill.
