Nuon is an ambitious Dutch energy company with more than 10,000 employees which supplies or transports energy to over 3 million households and business customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Our activities extend across the entire energy chain: this comprises the production, transportation and supply of electricity, gas, heating and cooling. In addition, we engage in energy trading in the major international energy markets and offer auxiliary services and technical innovations to businesses as well as consumers

With a turnover of € 5.7 billion in 2007, Nuon occupies a prominent position in the Dutch energy market. Nuon’s biggest shareholders are the provinces of Gelderland and Noord-Holland, the municipality of Amsterdam and BV Houdstermaatschappij Falcon, whose shares are held by the province of Fryslân.
