Package Manager for Offshore Civil Works


Vattenfall is one of Europe’s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
For our Civil and Structural Engineering department within Business Area Wind, we are looking for a Package Manager for Offshore Civil Works to manage the foundation package for Kriegers Flak Offshore wind farm.

The Civil and Structural department is the competence centre for all civil and structural related aspects of a wind farm on- and offshore, supplying cradle to cradle services, technical competences and project management all under one roof. We build on continuous improvement and entrepreneurial mind-set in order to set the standard for future wind foundations.
Your job
As our Package Manager for Offshore Civil Works you will be responsible for delivering the centrepiece in the offshore wind farm. You will be in charge of a team of highly competent, helpful and dedicated people and balancing in- and external stakeholders.
The foundation package is focussed on three areas being design, manufacturing and installation, each with a smaller team, and your job will be to bridge all areas.
You are expected to have a calm mind-set, capable of maintaining the helicopter perspective and be efficient in your communications. You have experience with negotiations and working the complexity of to EU tender law and capable of proactively engaging with contractors worldwide. Furthermore, the main responsibilities in the position are: 
• Deliver the foundations on budget, cost and quality
• Daily management of the project team
• Ensure that stakeholder and interface management
• Resource and budget update
• Time Schedule
• H&S leadership
• Communicate with project and line management on progress and issues
• Contribute to the overall management and initiatives in the Civil and Structural Engineering department.
• Trouble shooting
Your profile:
You have an engineering background, presumably from civil engineering, with a project management education on top. You have the ability to see things from the helicopter perspective and can advise and help your team based on your knowledge and knowhow. You have an innovative mind-set and can see yourself working in an environment where we value entrepreneurship, the pragmatic approach and helpfulness in our daily work. You work self-dependent while sharing and seeking knowledge in the team. You show initiative and have a flexible approach to your work. You possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate technical and commercial sensitive topics in a clear and constructive way both internally and to external partners. In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:
• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in civil engineering or equivalent
• Certified Project Manager
• Experience with large complex projects
• Experience from the offshore wind industry
• You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing
• Good at delegating tasks
