Master Data Controller to Vattenfall Business Area Wind
 
Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like PV/Solar. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
 
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Master Data Controller. The position is located in Stockholm.

Master Data provides the foundation structure to enable us to learn and optimise from our data so it really is fundamental to achieving our goals.
 
You will join a growing team of Master Data Controllers who work together to help fulfil our ambitions of a harmonised maintenance process and high class data quality. You will work closely within a larger team of Process, Supply Chain, SAP and IT professionals on implementation projects and supporting our wind farms with their Master Data requirements.
 
The Master Data Controller
should ensure that we have high quality and comparable master data for all our sites by defining requirements, identifying needs, prioritizing, and take lead on the necessary work. Since this is a new area in the BA, focus will gradually move over from defining the requirements to leading implementation projects at the different sites, and in the future focus will shift over to maintaining and expanding the data sets as well as quality assurance.
 
The overall purpose of ensuring high quality and comparable master data is to enable efficient operations at site as well as enabling utilization of synergies that comes from operating a whole fleet of wind turbines instead of each wind farm individually.
 
Key responsibilities
• Define BA generic requirements on master data
• Identify the gaps between as is and wanted position within master data
• Lead master data implementation projects on each site, including new sites
• Maintain, quality assure, and upload new data to the system
• Share updates on one site with other relevant sites and propose changes
• Follow the developments in the industry and propose improvements for BA Wind
• Develop and improve SAP to improve efficiency in master data handling
 
Your Profile

We are looking for a person that has the ability to simplify complexity yet is flexible enough to find the best ways forward. You are a team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help. You are also pro-active, transparent, and performance oriented.
 
The following experience is considered advantageous:
• Technical background in Engineering or Scientific Discipline or IT
• Experience working with large volumes of data
• High proficiency in MS Excel
• Knowledge of SAP or other similar system
• Excellent English communication skills
